Nissan’s GT Academy Coming To Manchester

Chances are that if you like cars you’ve at one time or another dreamt of being a racing driver, am I right? Well since 2008, thanks to Nissan and Playstation, skilled racing game players have been able to make their dreams a reality by competing in GT Academy. And hopefuls from the UK will have their last chance to qualify for this years European competition in Manchester on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of September.

What’s The Prize

Essentially the competition aims to find the best Gran Turismo gamer and take them from their arm chair to the seat of an actual 550bhp Nissan GTR Nismo GT3 race car for a whole race season! Gamers go through a rigorous selection process before a winner is chosen to be put through one of the most advanced driver development programmes in the world.

How Do I Enter?

The competition is open to anyone 18 years or older who thinks they’re pretty handy at Gran Turismo 6. The last UK qualifying event will be held at the Manchester Trafford Centre on the 12th (10am-9pm) and 13th (12pm-4pm) of September 2020. With the winner finding themselves in Abu Dubai a mere month later to compete in a range of real racing challenges with winners from around Europe in the week long GT Academy.
