For the first time in the history of Honda’s luxury vehicles production wing, Acura Motors, a brand new hybrid model is coming out in the form of the 2013 ILX, which is expected to be released worldwide sometime soon. Let’s find out all its standard noteworthy aspects in the following sections in detail.
Overview
2013 ILX is an entry-level compact luxury sedan, which is being developed based on the Honda Civic design platform. With the launch of this model, the automaker expects to entice not only hybrid-tended drivers, but also potential young consumers who are looking for top-notch luxury, value, and performance in the vehicle they wish to buy.

Basic Styling Cues and Competition
When it comes to styling, the upcoming ILX certainly appears pretty sharp, and its luxury interior cabin will undoubtedly be a stride on top of anything that you would find in the new Civic.
It is expected to witness a tough competition from a similarly upscale compact luxury car, Verano developed from Buick Motors.

Engine Specifications
Similar to the latest Civic, the new ILX will make use of the same hybrid engine system i.e. a standard 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine, combined with an electric-motor, and a standard CVT. The hybrid system produces a combined output of around 110-hp and peak torque of 127 pound-feet.
However, it isn’t completely a hybrid model as its standard front-wheel drive sedan will be equipped with a 2.0-liter 150-hp 4-cylinder engine, mated to a 5-speed auto gearbox. If you expect more power, you can go with an upgraded edition that comes featured with a standard 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, which delivers an increased 201-hp.
Fuel Economy Details
The new ILX hybrid model is expected to achieve a fuel economy of around 35 mpg in the urban areas, and 38 mpg on expressways. The base model with 2.0-liter engine will return a rating of around 24 mpg in cities, and 32 mpg on highways.
Pricing
2013 Acura ILX will be released with a base price tag of about $25,900.

Nanya 2013 Acura RDX: New Ad Campaign
April 11th, 2012
Nanya Since RDX is all new for the 2013 model year, it is quite possible that Acura will jump start the launch of the vehicle with a new advertising campaign.
The luxury wing of Honda went with the theme of “Gulliver’s Travels”, which shows that the new crossover is huge and luxurious, but still not very big. Are you getting the point? Gulliver is supposed to be a giant and still RDX is huge enough for accommodating him.

Scroll down to take a look at the set of 30 second parts. The little people give an RDX to Gulliver in the first ad and they wash it in the second spot. Just as you can visualize, it needs several Lilliputians to wash a luxury mid-size CUV.
Speaking about the new RDX for 2013, it is expected to differ considerably from its predecessor. It is based on the same platform as that of the most recent Honda CRV. However, it is still identifiable as an Acura.
With a styling that looks more matured than the previous version, RDX looks like a shrunken edition of MDX.
This new model is expected to be out for sale by this spring.
Who Makes Acura Autos?
January 9th, 2012
Nanya Acura is a line of automotives manufactured by Honda, which is the second largest auto maker in Japan, founded by a man named Soichiro Honda and presently, its headquarters is located at Japan and USA.

The Beginning
Following a decade of research, Honda opened several dealerships in North America by 1985 to support their Acura division. The initial offerings were compact class three-door Integra and executive class five-door Legend hatchback. Following the success of these two, especially Legend tends to compete with other Japanese brands, like Nissan and Mazda.
In 1991, the brand introduced NSX and it was the first Japanese car to compete with Porsche and Ferrari as it was the world’s first aluminum constructed car. Despite achieving a strong start in the market, the demand and the sales suffered in mid 90s.
In 2000, the company introduced several fresh models, such as 3.2-L TL, MDX, and RSX. The parental company, who makes Acura, took advantage of the susceptibility of American automakers by introducing fuel efficient, yet luxury cars to the world in which US car’s performance was affected by the strict fuel economy standards.
Honda’s experience in making economical vehicles made its models far superior to its US counterparts, thus attracting economy-conscious car buyers.
To expand wide coverage in selling their cars, the company opened more than fifty Acura dealerships throughout Canada and US.
